Former Counter Logic Gaming League of Legends team close to signing with Evil Geniuses

By Rod \'Slasher\' Breslau

Sources say that the deal between both teams will be done soon; this will be the first time Evil Geniuses has picked up a League of Legends team.

The former Counter Logic Gaming European League of Legends squad is close to signing a new contract to be Evil Geniuses' first League of Legends team, according to team sources.

Consisting of star players Stephen "Snoopeh" Ellis, Henrik "Froggen" Hansen, Peter "Yellowpete" Wüppen, Mitch "Krepo" Voorspoels and Mike "Wickd" Petersen, the deal is said to be done soon, with Evil Geniuses outbidding Azubu in the final stages. This would mark the first time Evil Geniuses have picked up a League of Legends team. Counter Logic Gaming is one of six teams automatically qualified into Season 3 of the League of Legends Championship Series.

The five had a breakout year in 2012 under CLG. The team came no worse than 5th at any event all year, winning DreamHack Summer 2012, placing second at the Azubu Champions Summer 2012, and third at the Riot Season 2 World Championships. On December 28, it was announced that the European Squad would not be re-signing to CLG and wanted to explore free agency in 2013.

As of a month ago, it wasn't confirmed that Evil Geniuses would be signing any League of Legends teams. EG Owner Alex Garfield spoke to PCGamesN at the fifth IGN ProLeague event in Las Vegas, and said that he was unsure if the team would venture into the game at the this time. "Obviously the numbers are impressive, and the passion of the community is impressive," Garfield said. "I think the challenge for me is just to find the right brand representatives for EG. So I've been perfectly happy to wait and sit on the sidelines and let some of those guys grow up a little bit."

Counter Logic Gaming will move into a house in Cologne, Germany, soon to prepare for the Season 3 Championship Series. The qualifiers for Season 3 kick-off on January 11 with North America up first, and then on January 25 for the European qualifiers.

Wreck-It Ralph hitting DVD and Blu-ray this March

The hit animated movie Wreck-It Ralph will be out in digital and physical DVD and Blu-ray form early this year.

According to Disney Home Video, the digital version will be out on February 12 and will be available in HD digital and HD digital 3D formats. The physical versions will be out on March 5.

The former set contains the DVD and Blu-ray versions while the latter edition contains both aforementioned formats as well as the Blu-ray 3D and digital copy.

The digital, collector's edition and ultimate collector's edition will come with bonuses such as the "making of" feature called "Bit by Bit: Creating the Worlds of Wreck-It Ralph", alternate and deleted scenes, video game commercials for the titles created for the movie, and the animated short called Paperman that was shown before the film in its theater run. The Blu-ray copy will also have a video feature which points out the many video game references in Wreck-It Ralph, hosted by stand-up comedian Chris Hardwick.

GS News - Same-sex romance confirmed for SWTOR

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Kamis, 03 Januari 2013 | 13.15

Put it in.

Don't put it in.

Most people don't care either way--in fact, the only reason I care is because I have had to constantly hear about it since this game's announcements.

No one cares. Stop pandering to minorities, whether it's people who feel they're left out, people who sympathize with people who perceive to be left out, or bigots and haters who are gonna hate.

Stop talking about it. Maybe they should focus on making a game that isn't mediocre for a change. TOR wasn't as successful as hoped because of game design, not because of same sex romances.

Ragnarok Online 2 beta IP locked to Asia

English language open beta for MMO sequel launches on January 3; IP locked to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Ragnarok Online 2: The Legend of the Second's open beta is finally here, but only if you happen to be living in Southeast Asia.

The beta, which was originally scheduled to go live on December 27, 2012, has been pushed back, and is now set to launch on January 3. The delay was apparently due to high traffic and server congestion experienced on the original beta date, which forced the South East Asian distributor of Ragnarok Online 2--Asiasoft--to delay the launch. All character data accumulated between December 27 and January 3 will also be wiped when the official open beta begins.

And while the beta goes live today, it will only be available to Asiasoft's target countries in Southeast Asia. According to a post on the game's Facebook page, only gamers from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will be able to access the game due to Asiasoft's "licence agreement with the game's developer, Gravity Co."

Asiasoft's launch of the game is the first English-language version of the MMO sequel to be released worldwide. For more information on Ragnarok Online 2, check out our Now Playing of the closed beta below.

A Year in the Life of a Gamer - 2012

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Rabu, 02 Januari 2013 | 13.15

I've got not problem with it at all, but it just seems funny that they've only recently been representing Commander Shepard as a woman.  I know you can choose your sex during the character customization, but the press has almost always represented Shepard as "he" is on the box art - a man.  However, every video and picture of ME3 that I've seen in the last couple of months, has been from the perspective of a female Commander Shepard.  It just seems strange to me that they've chosen to do this so long after the game's been released.  Cool video though.

Black Ops II - When the script goes AWOL

60 euros for a few campaigns is not worth the money. Besides, the campaigns are not that great to play for several times, for you get really bored.

Also, playing its multiplayer is also boring, because it is the same stuff you find in free fps games out there, in fact, there are many free fps games that are way better in multiplayer mode, for instance, planetside 2.

What Gamer Are You? Part Two

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Selasa, 01 Januari 2013 | 13.15

I'm a combination of several types you haven't mentioned yet... the "Super-Hero" (someone who plays games to "feel" awesome, doesn't enjoy games that are too tough, challenging or realistic, prefers to be a protagonist who can do crazy-cool things like a super-hero, enjoying games like infamous, Assasins Creed 2+, Batman Arkham City and games with crazy guns like Killzone 3 or Resistance 3).  I'm also the "Thrill-Seeker" (someone who enjoys games that give you an adrenalin rush leading to "oh snap!" moments like Need for Speed, SSX, Burnout).  I'm also someone who enjoys Creative elements, not as obsessed with building as to be playing the Sims but enjoys Halo's Forge, Modnation Racers track editor, Little Big Planet level design and Far Cry 3's map editor.
