I definitely like the sound of the changes over the new X-Com. Multiple bases, more options per turn, assigning classes based on stats. The original X-Com is a game I couldn't get into because of its visuals/interface mostly, so I'd definitely like to give this game a shot sometime, but I'm currently working through a backlog!
The visual style reminds me of SWAT 2, but a little more refined.
