So far, I've been all 8 achetypes throughout my gaming experience.
When I first started playing games, I was the Extrovert (Pong & Tennis on the Atari 2600). I was also the Completionist, striving for higher scores and exploration (Adventure & Space Invaders).
After I got into PC gaming, I was more of an Introvert, preferring to play solo adventure games.
When it comes to handheld games, I was a Speed Runner for a grand total of one game, just to see if I liked it; but I quickly discovered I would rather spend a longer time playing. That's when I became the Builder/Reader, preferring to play The Sims and long-winded JRPG adventure games.
My time as an Introvert/Reader/Builder was short lived when Diablo II was released. I became an Exterminator/Extrovert. What followed was many years of MMOGs.
I tried to be an Analyst but realized I'm terrible with any and all puzzles. I'm one of those gamers that almost always needs a walkthrough for puzzles.
These days, I mix it up. I'm not playing as many MMOGs, but I still enjoy them in moderation. Out of all 8 so far, I would say I'm mostly an Introvert with a healthy dose of Exterminator and a pinch of Extrovert. I don't mind the grind as long as the battle system is simple and fun; and I don't mind the multiplayer as long as I'm playing with friends.
