Rise of the Tomb Raider - Is Exclusivity a Positive for Xbox?

Nevermind "positive for Xbox", what about "positive for consumers"? There's gotta be a lot of Tomb Raider fans from PC and Sony consoles (I'm a fan of Tomb Raider on PC for a long time), and why should they put up with this? Even if the game comes out later for other platforms, this announcement, the way it is not worded clearly and leaves lots of doubts, I feel it's very disrespectful to fans and consumers on other platforms. TR 2013 was multiplatform release to begin with, not to mention the previous games of the franchise. I'm a PC gamer and I feel alienated and abandoned. And for what? So that MS can maybe, perhaps, who knows, sell more Xbox One's? This isn't a fresh new IP we're talking about, it's a franchise with a lot of history on multiple platforms, and, in particular, a direct sequel to a multiplatform game. Using Rise of the Tomb Raider for that does a disservice to the game and the developers and publishers, blemishing its name and associating it forever with this controversy.

All these "exclusivity" shenanigans, including timed or partial exclusives like certain content you can only get in some stores keep disgusting me more and more, I feel like they don't treat the games respectfully to begin with, and also the consumers. I want my games to either get released or not, I don't want to put up with this toying of words and legal jargon, wording loopholes and "but no, we never said it was going to be exclusive forever" later... I want to be a consumer for games, not to be treated with such volatility as this by publishers, developers, console manufacturers or retailers. But I suppose it's my fault for buying theirs product........
