It's hard to say what my favorite Zelda is. They are all so different, and excel in different things.
The OG Legend of Zelda started it all, and threw you into a big, unknown world, and made you figure things out yourself.
Zelda II changed things up and is still to this day the most challening, yet most rewarding Zelda.
ALttP has the most dungeons of any Zelda, and has some of the best exploration of any Zelda.
Ocarina of Time has by far the best dungeons with ones like Forest Temple, Water Temple, and Spirit Temple. It introduced horseback riding, and the 3D lock-on combat system. Also has one of the best story's of any Zelda.
Majora's Mask has by far the most sidequests, and makes the world feel alive with the 3 day cycle.
Wind Waker has the best soundtrack, and is the most open and explorable 3D Zelda yet.
Twilight Princess refined the great parts of OoT, improving the combat, and horseback riding much better.
Skyward Sword has (for people who like motion) arguably the best combat system of any Zelda. SS was one of the only Wii games where you could feel the Wiimote was a better option than a normal controller.
I can't wait for the new Zelda! I've got a feeling it could be one of the best yet.
